DHHS Constituent Services Coordinator

This is a full-time position located in Augusta. This opportunity allows partial telework with management approval.

Core Responsibilities:

As the DHHS Constituent Services Coordinator you will coordinate DHHS constituent response services, including Freedom of Access Act (FOAA) requests.  You will receive, log, research and coordinate the official Department response to letters, e-mails, phone calls, and information requests from DHHS consumers, constituents, the Governor’s Office, Legislators, and Congressional Offices.  You will immediately acknowledge constituent concerns and/or informational/FOAA requests, respond to and/or forward those communications to appropriate departmental personnel, and track the status of forwarded communications in order to ensure and document a prompt departmental response.  You will meet directly with constituents, service providers and others when appropriate.  You will be responsible for producing quarterly, annual and periodic reports and conduct relevant analysis to address response times, patterns regarding inquiries and system improvements. You will also perform other duties on behalf of the Commissioner’s Office, as delegated.  Your work will be time-sensitive and require you to quickly become knowledgeable about DHHS programs, Offices and Department contacts.   You must possess exceptional organizational, writing, communications and customer service skills and the ability to work effectively with individuals in stressful situations.
