Engagement & Operations Associate
3×3 seeks a detail-oriented and collaborative Engagement & Operations Associate to support our business development, community management, and studio operations. This multi-faceted role is ideal for someone with strong project management skills, a people-first mindset, and a passion for equitable and inclusive design. You will play a key role in cross-functional coordination to keep outreach and partnership development efforts organized and our internal operations running smoothly.
The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, connector, and operator with a passion for community-centered design. We are looking someone who will bring creativity, relational discipline, and a deep commitment to community-driven work while supporting the operational foundation for our business and community development efforts.
The day-to-day:
Business Development Coordination
- Coordinate and track outreach to prospective collaborators and partners.
- Manage timelines and tasks related to development efforts using project management tools.
- Support the development of proposals and qualification packages.
- Maintain CRM systems and support prospecting and research.
Community Management and Communications
- Support the planning and execution of external events, workshops, and talks.
- Assist in maintaining 3×3’s external communications channels (e.g., newsletters, website, social media).
- Document and track engagement activities and follow-ups to support partnership development.
- Serve as a point of contact for our 3×3 community and field general inquiries.
Studio Operations Support
- Help streamline internal collaboration between delivery teams and operations.
- Support day-to-day coordination of studio logistics.
- Support and spearhead internal documentation and process improvements.
- Help ensure tasks across departments are clearly tracked and followed through on.

- 1-3 years of professional experience in project coordination, communications, or operations in a mission-driven or creative organization.
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Communications, Business, Urban Planning, Strategic Design Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong project management skills, including task tracking, time management, and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable using tools such as Google Workspace, Adobe Suite, Airtable, and Slack (or eager to learn).
- Interest in community-centered design, social impact, and inclusive engagement practices.
- Thrive in ambiguity and enjoy building systems from scratch or refining what’s already in place.
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in dynamic, agile environments.
- Familiarity with CRM systems (like Hubspot) is a plus.
- Cultural sensitivity and fluency, and the ability to work effectively across disciplines, experience levels, working styles, and other cultural differences.
Compensation Package
Compensation is commensurate with experience and time commitment, with a total compensation package ranging from $73,500-82,000, which includes:
- $65,000-$70,000 base salary
- Annual bonus
- Health care contributions
- 401(k) contribution on completion of six months of service
