Schedule: May 26 – August 8 | Monday–Friday | 10:30 AM – 2:30 PM (20 hours/week)

About Heart House:
Heart House is a nonprofit organization that supports refugee, immigrant, and under-resourced children through holistic afterschool and summer programming focused on Social Emotional Learning (SEL). While we cannot offer monetary compensation, this internship is a rewarding opportunity to give back to your community and gain meaningful experience for your future career path.

Position Overview:
We are looking for a passionate and proactive Marketing & Development Intern to join our team this summer! This internship offers hands-on experience in marketing, communications, and nonprofit development. You'll work closely with our Marketing & Development Specialist to learn and assist with a variety of impactful tasks—all within a casual and relaxed work environment where creativity and curiosity are encouraged.

Key Responsibilities:

Learn and assist with content creation and scheduling for all social media platforms

Create eye-catching graphics using Canva (no experience needed—just a willingness to learn!)

Assist in planning and executing summer fundraising and community engagement events

Help with administrative support tasks as needed

Draft email campaigns and newsletters to engage our community

Support the execution of marketing campaigns from idea to rollout

Is interested in marketing, public relations, social media, or graphic design (a plus!)

Additional Details:

This is not a remote position—you will be working onsite at our office.

You’ll be mentored directly by our Marketing & Development Specialist.

By the end of the internship, you’ll have developed tangible skills and portfolio pieces to boost your resume and college applications.
