Plant Research Lab Branding Intern
The MSU-DOE Plant Research Laboratory (PRL) is seeking a creative and design-savvy intern to help shape and elevate its visual identity and brand. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of science and communication, helping to translate world-class plant research into compelling and accessible stories and visuals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in refining and implementing the PRL’s visual identity across digital and print materials
- Design branded templates for presentations, social media, posters, and internal communications
- Help develop consistent messaging and storytelling language for PRL activities
- Create graphic assets (infographics, logos, banners) that communicate PRL's mission and achievements
- Assist in developing and executing a content strategy for the PRL website and social media platforms
- Collaborate with MSU’s NatSci communications office to ensure brand alignment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled MSU undergraduate or graduate student in Graphic Design, Communication Arts, Marketing, Creative Advertising, or related field
- Strong design portfolio (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar)
- Clear, concise writing and messaging skills
- Passion for storytelling and visual branding
- Interest in science or research communication is a plus
- Organized, reliable, and proactive
