Public Relations & Communications Manager

Job Summary

The Public Relations & Communications Manager will be responsible for developing and executing PR strategies to increase visibility, manage brand reputation, and position our pharmacy as a trusted healthcare partner. This role requires expertise in media relations, crisis communication, community engagement, and social media strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Public Relations & Communication

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive PR strategy to enhance brand visibility.
  • Build and maintain relationships with media outlets to secure coverage and promote the pharmacy’s services.
  • Craft compelling press releases, articles, and thought leadership content to position our pharmacy as an industry leader.

Reputation Management & Crisis Communication

  • Monitor online reviews, social media, and brand sentiment to proactively manage reputation.
  • Respond strategically to negative reviews or public complaints to maintain trust and credibility.
  • Utilize industry tools to track brand perception and measure the effectiveness of PR campaigns.

Community & Industry Relations

  • Establish partnerships with local healthcare providers, organizations, and policymakers.
  • Develop initiatives to position the pharmacy as a trusted resource in the community.
  • Represent the pharmacy at industry events, conferences, and community engagements.

Marketing & Social Media Strategy

  • Develop content strategies for social media to educate the public about compounding pharmacy services.
  • Manage social media channels and create engaging campaigns to drive awareness.
  • Oversee crisis communication on social platforms and manage responses effectively.

Community Engagement & Thought Leadership

  • Create and execute programs to engage local healthcare providers and drive referrals.
  • Develop PR strategies to highlight our pharmacists as experts in the field.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in PR, communications, or brand management (preferably in healthcare or pharmaceuticals).
  • Strong media relations skills with a proven track record of securing press coverage.
  • Experience managing crisis communications and online reputation.
  • Proficiency in social media management and content marketing.
  • Strong interpersonal and networking skills to build community and industry relationships.
  • Ability to work on-site in Plano, TX.
