Development Manager

Job Summary
The Development Manager plays a crucial role in driving the funding acquisition and business development efforts of our organization. This position is responsible for creating and implementing strategies that enhance our fundraising capabilities, build relationships with donors, and ensure the sustainability of our programs through client enrollment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in development and demonstrate exceptional skills in relationship management, donor cultivation, and proposal writing.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy to meet organizational goals.
  • Plan and coordinate fundraising events, ensuring successful execution and donor engagement.
  • Write compelling proposals to secure funding from various sources, including foundations, corporations, and individual donors.
  • Collect and analyze data to assess the effectiveness of fundraising initiatives and identify areas for improvement.
  • Manage relationships with current donors while cultivating new partnerships to expand the donor base.
  • Utilize tools such as Donor Perfect for donor management and communication.
  • Oversee budgeting for fundraising activities to ensure financial sustainability.
  • Implement social media strategies to promote events and engage with potential donors.
  • Promote LSTC Day Habilitation services at local schools, community events, and local organizations as a way to grow participation
  • Collaborate with team members to align development efforts with organizational mission and goals.

Skills

  • Strong proposal writing skills with a track record of successful funding applications.
  • Proficient in data collection and analysis to inform decision-making processes.
  • Familiarity with Donor Perfect, MailChimp, Salesforce, or similar platforms for donor engagement and communication.
  • Excellent relationship management abilities to foster connections with diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of social media management techniques to enhance outreach efforts.
  • Experience in nonprofit management is preferred but not required.
  • Proven experience in event planning and execution within a nonprofit environment.
  • Accuracy, attention to detail, and make use of technology for all aspects of position

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
