Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and creative Social Media/Marketing Intern to join our team and assist with developing and executing social media strategies and marketing campaigns. This internship offers an exciting opportunity to gain practical experience in social media management and marketing while contributing to the growth of our brand across various digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media Content Creation:

  • Assist in creating engaging and visually appealing content for social media platforms, including LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook.
  • Use Canva to design graphics, infographics, and other visual content that align with our brand identity and messaging.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to brainstorm and develop content ideas that resonate with our target audience and drive engagement.

Platform Management:

  • Schedule and publish content across multiple social media platforms, ensuring consistency and optimal timing.
  • Monitor social media channels for comments, messages, and mentions, and engage with our online community in a timely and professional manner.
  • Track and analyze the performance of social media posts, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

Marketing Campaign Support:

  • Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns, including digital ads, email marketing, and promotional content.
  • Contribute to the creation of compelling storytelling narratives that connect with our audience and promote our mission.
  • Support the marketing team in the creation and distribution of newsletters, blog posts, and other marketing materials.

Cross-Functional Team Support:

  • Collaborate with the NonProfit Partnerships Team to create and promote content that highlights our partnerships and the positive impact we’re making together.
  • Assist in crafting social media content that supports nonprofit campaigns and initiatives.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that all content aligns with our broader company objectives and resonates with our diverse audience.

Research and Analysis:

  • Conduct research on social media trends, audience preferences, and competitor strategies to inform content development and marketing initiatives.
  • Analyze social media performance metrics and campaign results to identify opportunities for optimization and growth.

Brand Consistency:

  • Ensure all social media content adheres to brand guidelines and maintains a consistent tone, style, and messaging across platforms.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating content calendars, ensuring that all marketing activities are well-coordinated and aligned with overall business objectives.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a degree program related to Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
  • Experience with Canva or similar design tools for creating social media content.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms including LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook.
  • Strong creative thinking skills with the ability to generate innovative ideas and concepts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Basic understanding of social media analytics and digital marketing principles.
  • Passionate about social impact, sustainability, and the mission of AllPeople.co.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.

Internship Details

This part-time internship provides valuable hands-on experience in social media and marketing within a dynamic and mission-driven team. The position is remote and requires a commitment of at least 10 hours per week. Preference will be given to students who can earn school or class credit, but all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply. This is an unpaid internship.
