The South Carolina State Accident Fund is the leading provider of workers' compensation insurance in South Carolina. Since 1943, the State Accident Fund has provided a continuous guaranteed source of cost effective workers' compensation coverage. Today we serve nearly 600 employers and 200,000 state and local government employees throughout the state. Within the State Accident Fund, the Uninsured Employers Fund (UEF) administers benefits as determined by the SC Workers' Compensation Commission for employers who fail to secure proper workers' compensation coverage for their businesses.

The Executive Assistant I, providing support to the agency director and executive leadership team, will:
- Assist agency director and department heads with scheduling meetings and events, and coordinate as needed with internal staff, legislators and policyholders. Maintain calendar availability for the conference rooms and auditorium, as well as master Agency calendar. Collect, review, collate and distribute AIC data reports related to the agencies department heads. Records the minutes for AIC and any other meetings as necessary.
- Handle issues related to building maintenance, including janitorial service and pest control. Maintain all building keys and key log agenda.
- Maintain supply room and gather special order requests. Ensure there is an appropriate amount of office supplies to meet daily business needs. Verify workstations have adequate furnishings for efficient performance of duties.
- Maintain agency memberships for various partner associations. Manage travel requirements such as airfare, lodging, and car rentals for agency participants. Process registration fees and expense reports.
- Collect mail from USPS location in the morning and deliver to SAF for sorting. Assist with sorting incoming mail as well as processing outgoing mail as needed. Review all incoming correspondence for the agency director. Respond to said correspondence as directed. Sort director's mail, identify any correspondence that requires immediate attention.
- Assist the financial services area with daily and monthly reporting.
- Handle communication with the shredding vendor, state surplus for returning state furniture and supplies, prepare informational materials for the agency for business opportunities.
- Plan and coordinate agency events as well as special projects and other duties as may be required and/or assigned.
This position may require use of a state vehicle.
