Role Overview

As a paid Event Intern, you’ll play a key role in making every Bestie Banter event memorable. Your responsibilities include event setup and teardown, demoing the game, engaging attendees, supporting sales, and capturing event moments on social media. This is a paid role at $20/hour.


Responsibilities

 

  • Assist with event setup and teardown (tables, signage, displays)
  • Demo gameplay by explaining rules and facilitating games
  • Engage and greet visitors, answer questions, encourage participation
  • Support sales by assisting customers purchasing the game
  • Take photos/videos and help manage event-related social media interactions
  • Help create a welcoming and inclusive event environment

 

Ideal Qualities
 

  • Passionate about games, community, and making connections
  • Comfortable leading small group interactions
  • Friendly, energetic, reliable, and punctual
  • Bonus: interest or experience in social media/content creation
     

Time Commitment

 

  • 2–4 hours per event, typically evenings or weekends
  • Events scheduled at least 1–2 weeks in advance
  • Flexible scheduling available

 

Compensation

 

  • $20/hour for all event work

Requirements
 

  • Must be 18+
  • Attend a brief orientation (1 hour, virtual or in-person)
  • Based in DC and able to commute to event locations
  • Familiarize yourself with game rules and product
