It is not as busy over the summer, so the opportunity to make money was smaller than usual and there are some corporate policies I am not too fond of.

I was able to improve my customer service skills and learn more about the company.
What I wish was different
I wish I started earlier so I could have experienced more of the customer service aspect of the job. Majority of my responsibilities was to reset and restock the store. I would have loved to have had more customer interaction.
Advice
If you work for Ulta you start off as freight which lets you get to know the products and learn more about the layout of the store. For this job I learned a lot about patience and was surprised to have gained so much knowledge about the products we sold.

I like that I don’t have to be in charge of ten buisness end. I just have to show and do my job. They also provide all the tools I need.

I wish I had more creative freedom in my dress, my station, and how our salon looks.

I would advise new employees to use the training videos available!! Watching them helps you learn about the products in the stores.

Everyone is welcoming and helpful. I get so nervous starting new jobs, but everyone made it so I never had questions. They explained everything and made me feel like a part of the team on the first day.

I wish I could've had more experience doing other things rather than just shipment. But I do enjoy doing shipment so it wasn't terrible!
Advice
Be open to new ideas. Life can get really tiring sometimes but keep pushing through and put 100% into any task you do.
